Hathurusingha to stay up to 2019

Post  Admin on Mon Jun 20, 2016 2:49 am

Bangladesh National Cricket team is passing a great time in international cricket arena since 2014. And for the consistent and quite different look of the tigers in last two years many Bangladeshi cricket fans mark Chandika Hathurusingha as one of the pioneers.

The officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) also praised Chandika Hathurusingha many times for his effort. And for this it has been confirmed that Chandika’s chapter will continue for few more years in Bangladesh cricket.

Finally the official decision regarding this matter has arrived after the board meeting of BCB today. According to the BCB Cheif Nazmul Hasan Papon, Chandika Hathurusingha will remain the coach of the tigers till the World Cup of 2019. Not only with Chandika, had BCB also renewed their contract with the whole coaching stuff till the year of 2019.

BCB had appointed Chandika Hathurusingha, a former Sri Lanka batsman, as Bangladesh’s head coach for a two-year period in 2014. The beginning of the journey wasn’t sweet for the Hathurusingha as Bangladesh lost their first series under the coaching of him against India by 2-0 at home.

The also lost the series against West-Indies by 3-0. But the morning doesn’t always show the day and the rest of the journey of Chandika has been too sweet. Under his coaching Bangladesh played superbly in World Cup 2015 and Asia Cup T-20 2016.

Besides they beat teams like India, South-Africa, Pakistan in the bilateral series for the first time in their cricket history under the coaching of this coaching stuff.
