Afridi waiting for BPL!

Post  Admin on Mon Oct 05, 2015 11:31 am

The batting style of Shahid Khan Afridi is synonymous to T20 cricket, the Pakistan hard hitter national team superstar is a hot cake for any tournament of this shortest version of the game around the world.

It was no surprise when Shahid Afridi had been revealed as the highest bidder in the first season of Bangladesh Premier League, being sold to Dhaka Gladiators with 7 lac US$. The second season went in vain for him as no Pakistani cricketer was permitted to join after a restriction from the respective cricket board.

However, when the third edition of BPL is knocking on the door – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lifted their sanction upon cricketers to play in the league after Bangladesh has sent the women national team in their troublesome country – and Shahid Afridi has expressed his keen interest to perform in the league.

Afridi has been running out of form for last several years, scored only 80 runs in the seven matches he played this year. The Pakistan star performer hopes of getting into rhythm with this tournament, “I want to play in BPL if I would be offered. The tournament will be of help to back in my form.”

Afridi showed his excellence in the first season of BPL when he took 3 wickets for his team Dhaka Gladiators in the Final of the tournament against Barisal Burners and came out to hold the title.
