Amir to play in BPL for Chittagong Vikings

Post  Admin on Tue Oct 13, 2015 3:49 pm

Franchises have already started to prepare their squad for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).  Supporters have eyes on plenty of world class players. Pakistani pacer  Mohammad Amir has become the talk of the town again after clearing his ban in international cricket through BPL as many sources say that he will play for Chittagong.

According to English daily “Dhaka Tribune”,  Chittagong franchise DBL Group has already made a contract with Amir. Not only Amir,  Chittagong has made a contract with Pakistani Test skipper Misbah-Ul-Haq and Umar Akmal as well.

Chairman of BPL Governing Body, Mr Afzalur Rahman said, ” Franchises are interested in Amir.  In that case, they will have to arrange the “NOC” certificate for Mohammad Amir  given by ICC  if they want him to play. “

Regarding foreign players, Member if BPL Governing Council,  Ismail Haydar Mollik  said, “I heard that several star cricketers have gone with a contract with franchises. “
